The Annual Spirit of Pride Community Awards Dinner officially kicks off the 2018 Gainesville Pride Days festivities. We are delighted to have Alachua County Commissioner Ken Cornell as our keynote speaker and former Gainesville Mayor Pegeen Hanrahan as the emcee. The celebration begins with a Social Mixer and Silent Auction at 6:00 pm. The buffet-style dinner starts at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $50 per person and must be purchased in advance at the Pride Center or online at www.gainesvillepride.org. The Awards Dinner will be held at Sweetwater Branch Inn, 625 E University Ave. Don’t miss our fabulous silent auction and the opportunity to find out who will receive the 2018 Spirit of Pride Awards!

Preceding the Festival is the Annual Pride Parade which begins at 7th Street and W University Ave before proceeding east on University Ave to S 1st Street and the Bo Diddley Community Plaza. Feel free to join the march to show your PRIDE or cheer them on as a spectator! Sign up at gainesvillepride.org to be a part of the parade.
Gainesville PRIDE FESTIVAL
Saturday, Oct. 20th, 1-9pm
Don’t miss the annual Pride Festival in Downtown Gainesville’s Bo Diddley Plaza and on the surrounding streets. The Festival, which is co-sponsored by the City of Gainesville Department of Cultural Affairs, will have dozens of local musical acts and over one hundred vendors. A “Kids Space” will also be available. The event is free and open to the public.

UCG Gay Pride Sunday Services

The United Church of Gainesville (1624 NW 5th Ave) dedicates this special Sunday each year to celebrate our diverse community. We will worship at Pride-themed services at 9:15 & 11:15 a.m., led by Associate Minister Talia Raymond. Don’t miss the special Pride seminar, “Linda and Karen: Creating Understanding One Conversation At A Time” at 10:15.

Come celebrate with us at Emiliano’s Café and bring the 2018 Pride Celebration to a savory and delicious conclusion.
