The Annual Spirit of Pride Community Awards Dinner will officially kick off the Pride Days festivities at 6:00 pm at the Sweetwater Branch Inn, 625 E University Ave. Our featured speaker will be former Congresswoman Gwen Graham and our Emcee will be Gainesville City Commissioner Gail Johnson. Florida Museum   LGBTQ+ in STEM

• Hear from LGBTQ+ panelists as they discuss their experiences in STEM fields.

· Go behind-the-scenes with tours of the McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity.

· Discover organisms in nature that have LGBTQ+ traits, and more!

Holy Trinity Pride Eucharist

Join Love Out Loud (L.O.L.) for a special Celtic Pride Eucharist Service at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church 100 NE 1st St,  Gainesville. Name and Gender Marker Change Workshop

Alachua Tranquility, Unspoken Treasure Society, and Pride Community Center host this workshop presented by Simone Chriss from Southern Legal Counsel about the process to change legal name and gender markers for official documents. Pride Week Community Happy Hour

Join the GatorBears @ Cypress & Grove (1001 NW 4th St, Gainesville) as we host the Pride Week Community Happy Hour. Receive 10% off your tab with the $5 purchase of an armband at the door (proceeds go to Pride) . We will have a food truck, door prizes and a raffle.

Stonewall Uprising

Join the Human Rights Council of North Central Florida for a special Pride Days video presentation of  STONEWALL UPRISING a production shown on PBS’s American Experience examining the events surrounding the Stonewall riots that began during the early hours of June 28, 1969. Gainesville Pride Day kicks off with the Annual Pride Parade which begins at 7th St and W University Ave and proceeds east on University Ave to S 1st St.  Sign up at to be a part of the parade.

Saturday, Oct. 26th, 1-9pm: 

Celebrate Your PRIDE at the FESTIVAL

Don’t miss the annual Pride Festival in Downtown Gainesville’s Bo Diddley Plaza and on the surrounding streets.  The Festival, which is co-sponsored by the City of Gainesville Department of Cultural Affairs, will have dozens of local musical acts and over one hundred vendors. A “Kids Space” will also be available. The event is free and open to the public.

Sunday, Oct. 27th:

UCG Gay Pride Sunday Services

The United Church of Gainesville (1624 NW 5th Ave) dedicates this special Sunday to celebrate our diverse community. We will worship at Pride-themed services at 9:15 & 11:15 a.m., led by Associate Minister Talia Raymond, followed by a potluck brunch in the fellowship hall after the 11:15 service that all are welcome to attend.  Don’t miss the Pride seminar, “Spiritual Affirmation and Support for LGBTQ+ Couples” at 10:15 am.

Sunday, Oct. 27th, 10:30am: 

Annual Gainesville Pride Brunch

Come celebrate with us at Emiliano’s Café (7 SE 1st Ave, Gainesville) and bring the 2019 Pride Celebration to a savory and delicious conclusion. Co-hosted by Gainesville Community Alliance and PCCNCF.  $23.50 per person (includes tax and gratuity). Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance by Oct 21st.
